I am beginning quilting and wanted to learn more about applique. This book is well written, the format is great (it is spiral bound which allows the book to lay flat) I can easily follow along while doing a project.

The projects outlined in the book are just okay. Not my style personally. However, I didn't purchase it for that. I purchased it to learn how to applique - and this book delivers.

I realized that I now own basically two copies of this book. Much of the content covered in this book is also covered in the Better Homes and Gardens: Complete Guide to Quilting, More than 750 Step-by-Step Color Photographs book.

Overall this was a great purchase. I am glad I have this smaller reference for applique. Its a much smaller book to carry around than the complete guide to quilting.

received the applique book in perfect condition. thank you. I used the ideas in this book, and added some of my own. love the book..
This book gives the person who is new to applique a very good primer on the different methods. If you are looking for some good patterns/designs then I would say look elsewhere.
Good starter projects
Learning to Applique is easier with this book.
It is exactly what I need to start teaching myself simple hand or machine applique, and it has a bit of wool applique which I am also learning about. Beginner friendly, instructions very easy to read and understand.
This was a way smaller book than what it appeared to be on the picture. I was expecting something much bigger with more details for the price. It is a good little book and I would recommend it but it is quite smaller than what is pictured.
